“Diom” is a Wolof word for integrity, courage and inner strength. Every day, hundreds of individuals rise with “diom” to defend their dignity as migrants in a legal context that excludes them from the society they live in. In Barcelona, a group of “manteros” (street vendors) attempt to launch an itinerant sales business with help from the Municipal Government. The co-operative will attempt to offer dignified work and status to individuals living in the city irregularly. Will they make it?
