Mujer 1, Mujer 2, Mujer 3

29 June - 17:30h MACBA Auditorium Free-access activity until capacity is full

Three protected women, three stories revealed. “Mujer 1, Mujer 2, Mujer 3” is a conversation with victims of the sex trade and exploitation, on the psychological impact of taking the step to report their situation and face a police and judicial system that demands too much from them. “Did you have regular access to a mobile phone?” “Did you ever have a chance to escape?” “What made you feel forced?” are among the usual questions that only deepen the victims’ wounds, insisting in the search for answers to things they may not even remember, and calling their testimony into question. In these interrogations, survivors who have suffered this level of violence are questioned, in a decision that puts their lives, and those of their families, at risk.
